Fruit entier de Baobab
Whole organic Baobab fruit Adansonia digitata, organic fair trade monkey bread
The Baobab tree, Adansonia digitata, produces superb fruits that will add sparkle to a floral arrangement of dried plants and flowers. They can also be cut to make natural decorative cuts.
Open or closed, this baobab fruit will tastefully adorn rotten pots for decorating cups.
Once opened, you can also collect the seeds of the fruit to plant them and get a baobab tree (which is a houseplant).
Finally you can open the fruit by breaking it on the ground and eat it in the African way. You can suck each piece of organic fruit pulp, be careful there is a seed in the middle!
100 g of fresh pulp contains:
- more than 300 mg of vitamin C, about 6 times more than what an orange or a lemon contains,
- 300 mg calcium,
- 3000 mg of potassium, (6 times more than in bananas)
- 30 mg of phosphorus
- 6 times more antioxidants than lingonberries and blueberries and 2 times more than in acai and Goji berries.
This fruit is also rich in essential vitamins like vitamin B2 (riboflavin), vitamin B3 (niacin). The baobab fruit therefore contributes to the supply of important nutrients.
